Heraeus Precious Metals launches new business committed to hydrogen

In the UK, H2 View reported that Heraeus Precious Metals has established a new dedicated Business Line Hydrogen Systems, designed to support the hydrogen economy.

Effective from January 1, 2024, Hydrogen Systems will provide a comprehensive range of precious metal-based products for electrolyzers and fuel cells, along with “state-of-the-art” electrocatalyst solutions for next generation applications.

In addition to the company’s precious metals supply, the business line will offer a comprehensive selection of technologies and the related production capacities for the recovery of precious metals from production scrap and end-of-life materials, such as catalyst coated membranes, according to the report.

Philipp Walter, Head of the new business line, said, “Our global R&D and testing as well as production facilities enable us to fulfill our customer needs on a technical and overall business level. We are strong innovators and support our customers’ business end-to-end.”
