Brazilian biodiesel delivers more than 50% of H2 2023 biodiesel in just January

In Brazil, BiodieselBR reports the biodiesel sector in January delivered more than half the volume of biodiesel it committed to for the second half of 2023. According to the most recent data from the ANP, manufacturers reported having placed practically 662.5 thousand m³ at market disposition. This is the fifth largest monthly volume in the program’s history.

Compared to the previous year, deliveries increased by almost 23%, surpassing the growth that would be expected based solely on the increase in the mandate – from 10% to 12% – which took place last April. Despite this good performance, biodiesel movement slowed down 2.7% compared to October when plants reported deliveries of 681.3 thousand m³ of biodiesel.
