Prio supplies first ship with B20 marine diesel

In Portugal, Transportes y Negocios reports Prio carried out the first supply of a ship with eco-bunker biofuel in the port of Aveiro. The supply of 50 tons of eco bunker from Prio to the FWN SUN ship, owned by Schulte & Bruns Nederland BV, was carried out using a tanker truck. The B20 eco bunker consists of marine diesel with 20% renewable energy produced from waste. According to the producing company, the use of this biofuel allows, in this case, reductions of 40 tons in CO2 emissions and up to 87.8% in GHG emissions.
