Minnesota Biofuels Association working to ensure biofuel inclusion in Clean Transportation Standard

In Minnesota, Brownfield Ag News reports the state’s biofuel association is working hard to ensure that biofuels are included in the Clean Transportation Standard the legislature’s working group is currently developing, modeled after California’s Low Carbon Fuel Standard. California’s law is based on carbon intensity of fuels, but the Minnesota Biofuels Association is concerned about ensuring the details of the law takes into consideration the local context. Already the legislature has passed decarbonization targets of 25 percent by 2030, 75 percent by 2040, and 100 percent by 2050.
