CVR to look for SAF investment partner

In Texas, CVR continues to evaluate opportunities for renewables expansions, particularly into the SAF production at both Wynnewood and Coffeyville. On the potential Wynnewood project, the company plans to begin soliciting bids over the next few months for offtake agreements that would support the potential conversion of the existing renewable diesel unit to 100% SAF. On a potential larger project it is evaluating at Coffeyville, where they expect to have preliminary engineering and cost estimating work complete by the end of the first quarter.
The company’s current plan is to approach the market in the second half of 2024 to solicit bids for partners to invest in the construction of a renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel facility near Coffeyville with a capacity of up to 500 million gallons per year.
