NTPC signs MoU for green hydrogen plant in India

In India, The Economic Times reported that Government of India has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NTPC to set up India’s largest green hydrogen production plant near Pudimadaka of Visakhapatnam district. The facility operated in collaboration with other global companies, will produce green hydrogen/derivatives, including 6,000 TPD of green ammonia and 300 TPD of green methanol, primarily for South Asian export market, according to the report. The report added that the first phase of the project is expected to be finalized in 2026 while the last phase is anticipated to be fully concluded in 2032.
