CARBIOS Active gets FDA approval

In France, CARBIOS recently announced that CARBIOS Active, its enzymatic solution for the biodegradation of PLA, is included in the U.S. Food and Drug Administration Inventory of Effective Food Contact Substances (FCS) with the Assigned Food Contact Notification (FCN) 2325, effective since February 29, 2024. With this milestone, CARBIOS Active can be used to make packaging materials that are sold in the United States and come into contact with food, including rigid and flexible packaging, and other applications.
