In Argentina, Ambito Financiero reported that Uruguay’s state oil firm Ancap will begin this month the search for partners for a project to produce SAF in Uruguay, with an investment that would reach $200 million. Ancap will call on potential investors, feedstocks suppliers and buyers of sustainable aviation fuel to present expressions of interest during this month, or at the latest in May, according to the report. “If we delay too much with the SAF project, there will come a time when the world will pay us more for the raw material, canola oil , than for the SAF,” said the president of Ancap, Alejandro.
