Naftogaz Group seeks to lead Ukraine’s biomethane industry

In the Ukraine, Ukrinform reports Naftogaz Group aims to be a key player in rolling out biomethane in the country, from investing in production to promoting its transportation to being a key buyer of the fuel as well as exporter. Estimates are that the country could produce 20 billion cubic meters of biomethane annually and become a key supplier to the European Union. Legislation is already pending in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine outlining customs rules for exporting biogas.
