CMA CGM and Bpifrance launch $214.5M funding to decarbonize French maritime sector

In France, CMA CGM and Bpifrance announced the operational launch of the EUR200 million endowment fund for the French maritime sector financed via Pulse, the CMA CGM Energies Fund.

– EUR 130 million in grants, managed by Bpifrance on behalf of the endowment fund, for the maritime sector to finance French companies wishing to accelerate their decarbonization, including EUR 20 million in subsidies for French fishing companies to finance the decarbonization of their vessels

– EUR 50 million in investment fund managed by Bpifrance Investment to invest in equity and quasi-equity in French SMEs/ETIs in the maritime sector who wish to accelerate their decarbonization

– EUR 20 million in grants for maritime research and managed directly by the Endowment Fund to finance institutes and centres at the forefront in the maritime sector
