Balrampur Chini sees Indian ethanol policy stabilizing sugar mills

In India, Bloomberg reports that the head of one of the largest sugarcane miller in the country, Balrampur Chini, believes that the government’s push to boost ethanol demand and align policies that will allow mills to supply that demand will bring stability for sugar millers who have long suffered from government intervention in ever-rising sugarcane prices. The company commissioned a new 160,000 liter per day ethanol distillery last week, bringing its total daily production capacity to 520,000 liters per day.
