Indonesian palm oil exports to China plummet 57% in January

March 31, 2020 |

In Indonesia, the Jakarta Post newspaper reports that the national palm oil association believes the main reason for major importing countries to hold off on their purchases in January was because they were waiting for the implementation of Indonesia’s B30 mandate and want to wait and see what happens. January exports to China were down 57% to 381,000 metric tons while total exports for the month were down more than 35% to 2.39 million tons.
