In Argentina, Reuters reports government established new criteria to set the values of bioethanol based on sugar cane and corn used in gasoline cuts for domestic consumption.

The measure aims to seek a price adjustment in accordance with the strong inflationary escalation that the country is going through and that could exceed 100% this year. According to data from the Ministry of Energy, the value of sugarcane-based bioethanol is 88.24 pesos per liter, while the price for corn-based bioethanol is negotiated at 107.411 pesos per liter.

Argentine exports of biofuels are on track to set a record this year, said a recent report by the consultancy firm Sectoral Economic Research (IES).
