Ethanol’s discount to gasoline shrinking quickly

In Illinois, corn futures are rising on the expectation that the next crop may also be tight, which is helping to support ethanol futures, in turn tightening the ethanol-to-gasoline discount. That discount shrank by 10.45 cents to 58.56 cents a gallon on Tuesday, the narrowest it has been in three weeks and the biggest move of its kind since November.
