Strong euro supports biodiesel prices despite falling veg oils

In the Netherlands, despite falling vegetable oil prices weighing on biodiesel prices, the opposite is happening in Europe thanks to the strongest euro against the dollar in 32 months. The currency support is helping to offset what would normally be falling prices in light of the uncertainty regarding anti-dumping measures on biodiesel imports. Anti-dumping duties on Argentine and Indonesian biodiesel may be lifted on September 7 that could see imports jump and prices begin to fall.
