Ethanol plant under development near Yankton, South Dakota

December 19, 2018 |

In South Dakota, the Associated Press reports that project developers are looking to build an ethanol plant in the Napa Junction area where a grain shuttling business opened recently and a pelleting business is under construction. Already a condition use permit for the proposed facility will be voted upon December 28 by the Yankton County Commission. A $33 million private natural gas pipeline would be part of the project as well rather than spending $87 million to extend the current Northern Natural Gas line from nearby Yankton.
