Biofuels Digest Index up 0.39 percent to five month high of 68.97

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, gained 0.39 percent to reach a five month high of 68.97 on Amyris’ first day in the Index.  For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) gained 0.77 percent to $32.89, while BlueFire Renewables (BFRE.OB) gained 25.00 percent to $0.30 on news of a new feedstock contract. Among other equities, Amyris (AMRS) gained 3.13 percent to $16.50 on its first day of trading. Overall, advances led declines 3 to 2 for the day.
