Brazilian sugarcane harvest totals still declining

In Brazil, UNICA reports a third consecutive two-week period in which the volume of crushed cane showed a drop in comparison to the previous two-week period. From October 1 to 15, crushing totaled 26.10 million tons, 4.05% below the previous two-week period and a 29.92% drop in comparison to the first 15 days of September. Overall crushed cane reached 470.68 million tons since the start of the 2010/2011 harvest season.
