Philippine Board of Investment backs increase of ethanol mandate to 20 percent

In the Philippines, the Board of Investment supports raising the current ethanol tariff of 1% to 20% to help stimulate local ethanol production. The country’s ethanol producers association has already approached the government to ask for the tariff saying that the national biofuel blending program isn’t enough to encourage investors to increase production.
