New York ethanol project rejected by local town council after project delays

In New York, Bion Environmental Services’ project to produce ethanol in Oswego County lost local support last week when the town board of Schroeppel rescinded its approval because the company hadn’t moved forward.

The company says it has been waiting for the county legislature’s support, but the county says the decision is up to the town. The company hasn’t yet finalized the state-required environmental review.
