Ethanol prices up 12% in Brazil in Q1 2012

In Brazil, despite desperate attempts by the government to keep ethanol prices in check during the inter-harvest period that runs through April, prices have risen for the seventh straight week to $2.51 per gallon, up 12% since early February. Anhydrous ethanol prices have slipped slightly on the week to $0.70 per liter.
