Biofuels Digest Index jumps to 73.36 as ethanol equities advance

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, jumped 0.81 percent to 73.36 as ethanol equities advanced.  For the day, Green Plains Renewable Energy (GPRE) jumped 6.56 percent to $17.54, while Cosan (CZZ) gained 3.08 percent to $16.76.  Among other equities, Verenium (VRNM) escalated 3.60 percent to $2.30. Overall, advances led declines 3 to 2 for the day.
