In Illinois, GTL Resources (owner of Illinois River Energy) has signed a partnership with Quality Technology International to collaborate on a new hybrid fractionation technology for corn, dubbed “NextGen Frac.”
The technology stands to save large amounts of money as it solves the serious starch loss and co-product purity problems of current standalone dry fractionation technologies without using whole kernel wet milling.
