Antaco awarded €1M from the UK for HTC project

In the UK, Antaco’s Hydrothermal Carbonisation (HTC) process that converts sewage and waste into biocoal has been awarded €1M by the government to build the UK’s first sewage-to-energy plant. The project, led by Dr. Dominik Peus, will be assisted by the Department of Energy and Climate Change. A statement on the company’s wesbite said: ‘Over the past 5 years Antaco has developed a process that turns biowaste into a high value biofuel – biocoal. Antaco’s technology is unique with its ability to convert 100 per cent of organic matter into a high heat value biofuel – biocoal.’
