January 5, 2015 |

In Cambodia, the first-ever shipment of cassava chips to China for ethanol feedstock has set sail. The deal is the first of many expected shipments under a new agreement with Tianguan Global Cassava Processing Co. Ltd., owned by one of China’s four approved ethanol producers, that would see 150,000 metric tons of cassava chips exported to China for ethanol during 2015. Last year’s cassava exports to China reached 60,000 tons.
