Planned South Dakota ethanol plant on hold again after zoning challenges

In South Dakota, planning permission for the proposed ethanol plant in Onida has been delayed because of a discrepancy in zoning discovered for the plot where the plant should be built. Apparently the land is an agricultural zoning type that doesn’t allow for commercial crop processing, so a zoning permit change will have to be undertaken before the project can move forward.
