Corn ethanol D6 RINs crumble to 13-month lows on pressure from RFS

June 4, 2015 |

In Illinois, corn ethanol D6 RIN prices have touched a 13-month low as the free fall worsened following the EPA’s lower-than-hoped RFS quotas through 2016, leaving roughly 1.8 billion carryover RINs on the market. On Tuesday they were just 40.5 cents, down 32% since the RFS announcement last Thursday and down 46% on the month.
