Illiquid market weighing on RED biodiesel futures prices

In the Netherlands, RED-compliant rapeseed-based biodiesel fell to its lowest price in nine months on the back of hesitant buyers nervous in light of continually cheaper diesel. Physical demand remains low at the moment, meaning the market is illiquid and prone to major price moves with little trade going on. ICE gasoil prices have been inconsistent lately with the market unsure of where it will steady out, a major factor for reticence on the part of would-be biodiesel buyers.
