In Washington, the Environmental Protection Agency says that 1.74 million cellulosic biofuel D3 RINs were produced in January with only 285,432 for ethanol, while no D7 cellulosic biodiesel RINs were produced. Renewable CNG and renewable LNG made up the remainder of the D3 RINs. All of the cellulosic RINs were produced domestically. About half of January’s 4.52 million D5 advanced biofuel RINs came from ethanol, again, all produced domestically, while nearly all of the 1.24 billion D6 RINs came from ethanol.
