Pennsylvania House passes bill eliminating E10

March 3, 2016 |

In Pennsylvania, the state’s House of Representatives approved by an overwhelming majority a bill that would eliminate the 10% ethanol blending mandate, with language that recognizes alleged damage to engines and other parts as a result of long-term ethanol use. The bill now moves on to the Senate’s Environmental Resources & Energy Committee for further deliberation. The Specialty Equipment Market Association is pushing for the legislation, saying that pre-2001 model cars and high performance car parts are especially susceptible to corrosion.
