Indiana promoting E85 as part of bicentennial celebrations

September 12, 2016 |

In Indiana, the state’s corn marketing council is sponsoring the use of E85 in a torch that is being run throughout the state’s 92 counties in a relay over the next 35 days in celebration of the Indiana’s bicentennial. The use of E85 is a way to show the importance of corn to the state’s economy in the relay that began in the state’s first capital of Corydon and will end Oct. 15 in Indianapolis, as well as raise awareness about the 500,000 flex-fuel vehicles in Indiana that can fill up on the fuel.
