Politico pointing the finger at Grassley staffer for conflict of interest

In Washington, Politico is hitting out a senior staffer of Senator Chuck Grassley’s who recently accepted a VP role at the National Biodiesel Board but who is still helping to transition colleagues on matters including the Renewable Fuel Standard. They’ve got two ethics lawyers on record saying the move violates the Senate’s rules on conflicts of interests while the Senator’s office says it’s completely normal for this kind of transition between roles and that it’s just the anti-biofuels lobby who’s trying to stir up a fuss.
