Major Iowa trucking group finds biodiesel blends both sustainable and profitable

In Iowa, working with Renewable Energy Group, trucking giant Ruan Transportation has confirmed that using biodiesel blends in its fleet is both sustainable and profitable.

The Iowa-based trucking firm has more than 300 locations nationwide and a fleet that travels 350 million miles a year. Among the benefits of biodiesel blends to Ruan are:

  • • Cost advantages compared to ULSD
  • • Delivering the reduced emissions its customers increasingly demand
  • • Strong fleet performance
  • • No modifications needed to trucks or fueling infrastructure
