UNICA says H1 September hydrous ethanol production reached 1.69 billion liters

In Brazil, Renewables Now reports that UNICA data shows sugar mills produced 1.69 billion liters of hydrous ethanol during the first half of September in addition to 683.79 million liters of anhydrous ethanol. Of the total, just 54.69 million liters were exported while the remainder was destined for the domestic market. Even so, hydrous ethanol sales during the period were down more than 10% on the year. Total ethanol production for the year through September 16 was 22.98 billion liters.
