In Brazil, Reuters reports that increased demand for corn as ethanol feedstock is a key driver behind estimates the country’s domestic requirements could increase by 6% next year, alongside additional buying from the meat industry, with 2.5 million metric tons of corn demand expected from ethanol production as new projects begin to ramp up next year. As such, exports are expected to fall in return, falling by around a quarter on the year at 30 million tons next year.
