Ethanol production climbs back to near record

In Washington, DTN reports that Energy Information Administration data shows that ethanol production in the week to January 10 has inched back towards the all-time high reached two years ago at 1.095 million bpd, up 3% from the week prior. Stocks also rose to a 15-week high of 23.006 million barrels, up more than half a million barrels over the prior week. Midwest and West Coast regions were the only regions to see drops in supplies while the Gulf Coast region where exports typically originate saw stocks rise by more than half a million barrels on the week.
