Jersey investing in ethanol storage tanks to allow higher ethanol blends

January 23, 2020 |

In the UK, the Jersey Evening Post reports that the tank farm at Jersey airport is going to expand in order to supply ethanol on-site to allow for increased blending in compliance with the European Union’s Renewable Energy Directive, should the local government decide to do so. Currently E5 and B7 are sold on the island but it doesn’t have its own blending capacity. The new storage facilities are meant to provide increased flexibility to allow for higher blends in the future.
