Kinder Morgan expanding ethanol storage capacity by 105,000 barrels

In Illinois, Tank Storage Magazine reports that among other investment projects, Kinder Morgan is installing an additional 105,000 barrels worth of ethanol storage at its various facilities, including the key Argo hub and its Chicago facility. Investments will also include increased rail loading and unloading capacity as well as for barging loading. ADM came under fire last year for allegedly manipulating ethanol prices by taking advantage of a lack of storage capacity at the Argo facility.
