June 3, 2020 |

In Lithuania, Baltic Course reports that biodiesel producer Mestilla will invest EUR6 million in used cooking oil biodiesel production. Construction is expected to start in early 2021 with commissioning planned before year’s end. Since it began operating in 2007, the company has been using rapeseed oil as feedstock. The additional capacity would represent 15% of its total production, producing around 40,000 metric tons of UCO-based biodiesel annually. The company plans to team with local partners to create an UCO supply chain.
