Analyst sees ethanol production remaining flat through year’s end

July 27, 2020 |

In Illinois, Brownfield Ag News reports an expert believes a “new normal” has been established as demonstrated by ethanol production slipping two weeks ago. He says that production is around 12 to 14% below average at the moment which is in line with reduced driving in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. With the pandemic situation not improving in many parts of the country, driving demand is expected to remain subdued throughout the rest of the year and as such believes ethanol production will stay flat.
