BP’s green shift could focus heavily on vertically integrated renewable diesel

In the UK, Forbes reports BP announced this week that it would shift to cleaner forms of energy and cut oil production by 40% by 2030. As part of its strategic plan to move towards renewables includes a significant biofuels piece beyond its renewable diesel production at its Cherry Point Refinery in Blaine, Washington. Forbes speculates the new greener version of the company may look towards securing feedstock for biofuels by purchasing farms or even slaughterhouses to ensure vertical integration of its fuel production.
