More than 60 Gujarat biodiesel producers raided by government agencies

In India, the Ahmedabad Mirror newspaper reports that several government agencies have raided more than 60 biodiesel producers in Gujarat. More than 360 officials split into teams are looking into what is allegedly poor-quality biodiesel that is undercutting oil companies with cheaper prices. Oil companies made the complaints that have led to the investigations and this week’s raids. Investigations into fuel quality will be made as well as to the legality behind the biodiesel sales themselves.
