Chinese investors bring Scottish green energy village scheme closer to reality

In the UK, the Scotsman newspaper reports that North China Power Engineering will invest £800,000 in a green energy village scheme in Aberdeenshire that is meant to power 10s of thousands of homes. The 40-acre project will combine a mixed fuel gasification and biomass plant, a green biodiesel production facility and an aerobic digestion plant together with solar, wind, a green hydrogen production facility and large-scale battery storage to supply 200MW of power to the Scottish grid from 2026.
