New owner for Maine Fiberight facility may be close to a deal

In Maine, the Bangor Daily News reports that following several attempts to find a new owner of the MSW-to-ethanol facility built by Fiberight that was mothballed earlier this year, the Municipal Review Committee that represents 115 small communities whose waste is processed by the facility has found a potential partner. The MRC signed a Memorandum of Understanding with an unidentified buyer to take over the $90 million facility. Now the MRC board must work with a trust representing majority bondholders to finalize the agreement.
