January 25, 2021 |

In India, the Economic Times newspaper reports that the country’s still authority is planning to develop a $54.8 million gas-to-ethanol plant in Chandrapur, Maharashtra, the first ever in the country. About 20% of the investment is expected to be covered by the government through grants related to the 2018 biofuels policy. The three other plants operating globally using similar processes and feedstock use LanzaTech technology but it is not clear who will be the technology provider for the project.
