April 28, 2021 |

In Iowa, the Des Moines Register recounts a story about a Johnson County farmer who has farmed 300 acres of corn for ethanol in rotation with soybeans on his family’s century-old farm but is looking to switch to solar farming instead, saying he’ll get a better return. His 300 acres may become part of a $4.7 million, 1,500 acre solar farm project that would produce 150 megawatts. So far, 1,100 acres of the project has been recruited by a July 22 deadline is looming.
