Indian officially kicks off UCO-based biodiesel blending

In India, the ANI news agency reports the petroleum and natural gas minister officially launched the blending of used cooking oil-based biodiesel in New Delhi, the first supply of 51,000 liters which came from IndianOil’s Tikrikalan Terminal. The procurement for the first supply of UCO biodiesel was via the Expression of Interest process launched in August 2019 which led to 30 completed EOIs. Blending UCO-based biodiesel is meant to help the country reach its 5% blending mandate.
