Omani UCO biodiesel facility construction nearly complete

In Oman, the Oman Observer newspaper reports the used cooking oil-based biodiesel facility under construction in the Barka Industrial Area is nearly complete. Developed by Qatar’s Erigo Biofuel and Dubai’s Neutral Fuels, the facility is expected to produce 800,000 gallons of biodiesel annually. The Oman Environmental Services Holding Company estimates 600,000 liters of UCO is dumped into the waste management system annually and hopes the project will help to divert as much of that as possible.
