Plant-based medication blister packs set to debut in Canada

October 4, 2021 |

In Vancouver, medication packaging company Jones Healthcare Group has partnered with good natured products to deliver biobased blister packaging for medications.

The companies say that the biobased polyethylene terephthalate used to make the packaging is curbside recyclable as well as food safe. The packaging will be available in Canada.

“Together with good natured®, we are transforming medication adherence packaging into a more sustainable offering with Bio-PET,” Trevor Noye, Senior VP of Medication Adherence at Jones Healthcare, says in a statement. “Jones embraces our responsibility for impact on the environment, communities and consumers—and we’re committed to continuous improvement in sustainable packaging and development, while creating value for all of our stakeholders.”
