Ethanol production reaches second-highest level at 1.107M bpd

In Washington, Brownfield Ag News reports Energy Information Administration data shows ethanol product last week got closer to the record set in December 2017 but not quite, reaching an average of 1.107 million barrels per day with production capacity running at about 97%. Stocks rose as a result to 20.129 million barrels, 204,000 barrels higher than the week prior and 454,000 higher than in 2020. Ethanol prices remain strong despite growing production levels amidst high margins.
